The Color Yellow

Although our home addition is still under construction and not due to be complete inside for another six weeks or so, as of yesterday, the entire outside has been painted my favorite color.  Yellow.  A bright, (but not blinding), fun yellow with white trim.  And I love it.  I am hoping the neighbors like it as well, but I'm not too concerned if not, because my family and I think it looks great.   Besides, the neighbors will probably appreciate the fact that although we still have only dirt where the driveway and much of our grass used to be, at least the house/addition looks more presentable with the new paint job.  My husband commented it is not a color he would have thought of, but he really likes it.  The yellow does not stand out like a sore thumb, rather it is cheerful and welcoming, and it is a great reminder that the construction won't last forever.  And that spring has finally come to Florida.  And soon the addition will soon be done and ready for us to occupy.  And that is a good thing.
